MucoStop contains a blend of enzymes formulated to break down mucus and reduce histamine.* 

Mucus is a beneficial protein created by the body to protect vital organs and bind up pathogens for removal from the body. The purpose of MucoStop is to support normal mucus function while helping to speed the breakdown and removal of inappropriate mucus. MucoStop is a blend of proteolytic enzymes to help reduce the effects of histamine induced inflammation. 

Proteolytic enzymes are enzymes that break down proteins. Not all proteases, however, can break down all proteins. For example, a protease that effectively digests food protein will not be a good protease for mucus protein. The mucus protein requires an enzyme classified as proteolytic and mucolytic. 

Mucolase is a proteolytic enzyme that has mucolytic properties, meaning it targets and hydrolyzes inappropriate or excess mucus. 

Because mucolase comes from the proteolytic family of enzymes it helps to reduce inflammation and support the immune system by hydrolyzing dead and damaged proteins. Mucolase may also have an effect on proteins that do not belong, such as bacterial infections or viral loads.* 

MucoStop contains Mucolase combined with protease and amylase, blended to assist in overcoming the symptoms often associated with sinus and chest congestion. Due to the amylase Thera-blend™ it may also help the body reduce histamine levels and promote antihistamine qualities, assisting with seasonal allergies.*
