Kirkman® developed our buffered Vitamin C products in response to the need for a higher daily dose of vitamin C (one to three grams) that physicians were recommending to our customers.  

At the time, Kirkman® offered two forms of vitamin C -- our popular chewable tablets and hypoallergenic capsules.  These are dosed at 250 mg, but for customers who needed a higher dose, these products may have been impracticial or inconvenient.

Kirkman's Buffered Vitamin C Flavored Powder offers 1100 mg (1.1 gm) in each recommed serving size of teaspoon.  It is easy to administer and is great tasting.  Our Buffered Vitamin C Powder is formulated with sodium, potassium and magnesium ascorbates to produce a buffered, acid balanced product which is very gentle on the stomach because the normal high acidity of ascorbic acid is counteracted by the ascorbates. A small amount of sucralose and natural passion fruit is added to make the product taste great when dissolved in water or juice.
This product is part of Kirkman's Bio-Max series, ensuring a form of vitamin C that is formulated to be extremely high in absorption qualities.  The Bio-Max series of Kirkman products utilizes the form of the specific nutrient which has been clinically shown to be the best or one of the best forms of that nutrient with respect to absorption and bioavailability.
